This is so funny! I rang one of my Easy Tiger Parents Programme Graduates
last week as part of our normal 3 - 12 month Progress Review just to see how
she was getting on post the programme. And guess what? She refused to talk
to me!!! Why? Because she was in the middle of her 'ME TIME' activity :-),
which was something that she learnt to do and developed whilst she was on
the programme. :-) I guess the programme is still working for her then!!!!
And she completed the programme over 12 months ago. Brilliant!

The government hasn't introduced the GANG INJUNCTION for young people yet,
though they intend to if the pilot with adult gang members works. I'm glad
they haven't introduced it for young people yet because it's not more
injunctions, jails and criminalization that young people need, but PROPER
help to stay out of gangs, not join them in the first place. Young people
join gangs because gangs fill massive gaps and VOIDS in their lives. What
they need is something positive to replace the gang mentality first, before
taking this, their survival strategy away from them!!

The government has decided to launch a GANG INJUNCTION in England and Wales
yesterday, restricting the movements of adults believed to be gang members.
This includes police having on the spot powers to stop gang members meeting
each other and going into certain neighbourhoods.

Good news that the parents and community's petition to stop the government
closing down 7 - SEVEN - Children's Centres in Stoke has been a fantastic
success today!! Government did a U turn! Sadly, it decided to close other
facilities in the area that are used by people with disabilities and the
elderly :-(

I truly believe that when we are ready, the teacher will appear! I've seen
this happen several times in my life and was thankful for the teacher
appearing when they did as apposed to when I thought I wanted them

I was watching 'The Worlds Strictest Parents' tonight. It amazes me how out
of control some teenagers can become! However ,in all the episodes of this
show that I have seen, their behaviour generally comes from either not being
listened to, valued or certain circumstances within the home environment
going wrong. The programme also shows how discipline, firmness, emotional
availability of the host parents can help to turn the teenagers' lives
around. Good programme!

understand and share their feelings! They could have paid me a lot less for

there are medical reasons why people over-eat!

Due to my son's research on nutrition, and his Nutrition Plans for people
experiencing depression leading to self harm, i have also discovered why the
doctor told me that my cholesterol level had increased! I'm eating more eggs
these days to help with low blood sugar, and hence the increase in
cholesterol. Hhhhmmm! More on the Nutrition Plans later

My son has discovered the connection between diet/nutrition, depression and
self harm. Brilliant! More on this later!

The key to success is NOT to do what others do and say; it is to KNOW you
can, believe you can and do what you can do to the best of your ability!! If
you know what to expect from yourself, you will always LIVE up to your
greatest expectation!

Not so much in favour of the vandalism but definitely in favour of students
protesting against excessive uni fees! Appalling! What are WE doing to our
young people! Their in debt before they even start out in the real world!
Super hiked up fees in two years time just as my youngest son leaves school.
Yipppeee! NOT!

Just sent off a very slight amendment to the proof for my 'self harm and
pregnancy' article with Midwives.

Just been told that my article on 'self harm and pregnancy' will be run as
the cover feature of 'Midwives' magazine later this month. Looking forward
to seeing it and will let you know when it is published! Feeling good!

Some parents on my Easy Tiger Parents Programme mistakenly think that
TEENAGERS don't want to be shown love! MISTAKE!! Who doesn't want to be
loved? Or shown love? We all do, don't we? How we receive it is what makes
the difference, isn't it? Yes our teens definitely want to be shown love.
Even just a physical connection from us such as pat on our teen's head,
knee, elbow etc is enough for them to know that we care. So go on - show
your teen some love!

A parent on one of my Easy Tiger Parents Programme asked me if I thought
decorating her home would help her to lift her spirits. I left that thought
with her and looking forward to hearing her answer tomorrow at the next
session. I took couple days off last week painting with my son and I feel
absolutely fantastic, energized and uplifted! Feel great looking at what
we've achieved together

Shame Radio show with Voice America didn't meet my expectations. Now looking
